The Mental Game

Anyone can be strong in the body, but can anyone be strong in the MIND and body. The way I see it is Stong Mind, Strong body, you cannot be stronger than your mind, once it gets tired.. the body follows and shuts down… sooooooooo in saying this, here’s what we have been doing starting yesterday March 24, to see how my mind power slipped over the winter layoff, It didn’t slip all that bad, here goes:

60 minutes – as many push ups as you can, you can stop for a rest whenever you need it… but put your mind in it and explode, my goal was 1000 push ups, I reached 750 push ups right to the last second. Then we did a bone crushing arm workout after… 3 sets of 21’s on the biceps 65 lbs on the curl bar, suppersetted with tricep push downs 135 lbs  for sets of 20, and tri setted with side later shoulder raises, 15 lbs sets of 20. Second exercise was single arm concentration curls 45 lb dumbells,  3 sets of 10, supersetted with skull crushers 85lbs 3 sets of 15 and side laterals again with 15lb dumbells sets of 20. I thought that was enough for the upper body for one day.

March 25th,
I thought since my goal was a thousand push ups… I’m going for a thousand air squats… Conquered in 35 minutes, not half squats.. full deep squats, now this is a mind game. Having a tender upperbody and punishing your lower body the day after. Well everyone, that’s the name of the game, whoever gives in first, LOSES…. I’ll never give in and I’ll die trying…
