I have been plagued by a flat foot my whole life. This has lead to general foot pain as well as frequent shin splints. I have been looking at getting help to stop the suffering. Through my research, I have found two options, medically prescribed orthotics or over-the-counter shoes inserts.
Orthotics are expensive. That is the only reason I have not gotten them. My insurance does not pay for them, so I have never been able to justify the money for something when I can run through the pain for free. I can see the extreme benefit for them. I can put them in whatever shoe I am using, whether it be my cleats or running shoes. They last a very long time.
